Dear Palmer Collector,
I have decided to add a value section to the web site to fill the need for better price reference including transaction tracking. Because a web-site can be updated, I believe transaction tracking will enhance information commonly available in the 3rd Edition Blue Book.
Since Palmers surface quite regularly and the number of collectors seems to be growing, there is a lot of value data to be had. I will try to provide approximate values based on actual sale histories and dealer listings. This will be an ongoing process.
There are many different ways to value a cue. Dealers sites give the higher retail on mostly premium collectible cues. E-Bay presents a public record of cue values. Auctions run the gamut between give away-prices, and prices where maybe the bidding got out of hand. Timing, exposure, and quality of the auction ad greatly effect the final price. Auctions are the pulse of the market and tell us a lot of a cue's collectibility.
