Q & A and Talk Column
Hi Chris,

Attached are pics of my Model K from the early 1970's.  I ordered it directly from Palmer and waited for what seemed an eternity for delivery.  I rarely used it (as the pictures will show) and when I did, I was an absolute fanatic - always holding it, never laying it down to avoid any damage.  It has not been used since the early 1980's.  I usually used my Viking which I didn't worry about as much.  What would you suspect its value to be today?

Thanks, and Great site!

Stephen

Stephen,

First of all, thank you for the beautiful photos.

That is one beautiful "K". It would command a premium for three reasons. 1) it has a Gus Szamboti forearm, as evidenced by the appearance and original date of purchase and 2) the incredible condition and 3) you are the original owner.

The K was Palmer's answer to Paradise's Diamond King, which could only be produced in limited supply. The K was tricky to make. Thsi cue is a collectors dream and would command top price anywhere, any time.  The Szamboti forearm is a biggie but the condition is spectacular. Congrats - that a great cue you have there.

all the best,

Chris
