This is an early Gus Szamboti cue (1970's) based on a design called the "Big Block". The veneers are ebony, double green, and natural with ebony prongs. The cue has a beautiful capped ivory joint. The forearm has a Palmer-esque influence and it should, because this is very similar to the forearms Gus was building for Palmer at the time.

There is a lot of subtle detail in the cue. the workmanship is flawless, with the outer and inner hand cut points lining up perfectly around the cue.

This cue is 100% original and was used very little.  I can see why so many people liked Szamboti cues. It feels very good to hit balls with one too.
